New for 2008-09 FOCUS on the NEWS is beta-testing an online version of our weekly news quiz for home school students. Each week an email will be sent out with the full FOCUS on the NEWS quiz game in an online form. Students can answer the questions that will include multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank answers and submit their completed quiz game to be scored.

Scores will be tabulated each week and a report created showing students' rankings against other home school students of the same age/grade.

To receive a sample form, please visit our Contact Page and use the e-mail form to request the "Sample Home School Online Quiz". A link will be sent to your email to access a sample quiz. Note the sample is for the purposes of illustration - the news is be from a prior issue published in May and will not be current to the summer weeks

As this is a beta version of the FOCUS on the NEWS online home school quiz, it will be offered at the discounted price of $20 for the school year.

Home school teachers subscribing to the full FOCUS on the NEWS curriculum (including the crossword puzzle, MAPmaster and NEWSmaster quiz) at $39 for a single-teacher rate are eligible to get the beta version of the online quiz at no additional charge.
